巴利語匯解&巴利新音譯 瑪欣德尊者
tīṇi lakkhaṇāni:三相。一切行法(saṅkhāra,有為法,世間法)皆具有的三種本質——無常、苦、無我。
1.“以滅盡之義為無常”(aniccaṃ khayaṭṭhena)——以即於其處滅盡的本質為無常。以盡法故、壞法故、離法故、滅法故為無常。
2.“以怖畏之義為苦”(dukkhaṃ bhayaṭṭhena)——即以有危險故為怖畏。凡無常者,彼即導致怖畏,猶如《獅子譬喻經》中所說的諸天似的。
3.“以無實之義為無我”(anattā asārakaṭṭhena)——即不存在“自我、住者、造作者、受者、自在者”等如此遍計的實在之我。凡無常者即是苦,它連自己的無常性或受生滅逼迫都不能避免,哪裏還有它的造作者等呢?(Ps.1.31, 48; Vm.695)
其中,無常、苦是一切行法的本質,而無我則是一切法(包括有為、無為法)的本質。所以《法句》中說:一切行無常、一切行是苦、一切法無我。(Sabbe saṅkhārā aniccā’ti.Sabbe saṅkhārā dukkhā’ti.Sabbe dhammā anattā’ti.)(Dp.277-279)
北傳佛教有“法印”(梵語dharma-mudrā)之說,謂小乘經有“三法印”,即以“諸行無常,諸法無我,涅槃寂靜”三項義理印證各種說法之正邪,或再加“一切行苦”成“四法印”;又謂大乘經有“一實相印”雲雲。南傳上座部佛教並無“法印”之說。
