《巴漢詞典》明法尊者增訂
Parivyaya,﹐【梵語】辛,西藏語 spod(藥味之義)。指五種有辛味之蔬菜,五辛,又作五葷。五辛:(一) 蒜(大蒜、蒜頭、葫菱、家蒜,巴lasuṇa;梵 lawuna)、蔥(慈蔥、胡蔥、春蔥,梵 latārka)、路蕎(蕎菜、小根菜、小蒜、野韭、宅蒜、菜芝、山擇蒜、薤白頭、薤子、野蒜、介白、小獨蒜,梵 palāṇḍu)、革蔥(茖蔥、山蔥、革山蔥、薤,梵grñjana)、興渠(阿魏、胡荽,梵hiṅgu)等五種。Vin.Cv.II,141.;CS:p.282: “ābādhappaccayā lasuṇaṁ khāditun”ti.(病緣,許食蒜。)(巴利律沒有提到不準吃其他四辛)
