《巴漢詞典》明法尊者增訂
Parimukhaṁ,(pari遍+mukha口、面),【副】在前面( in front of);鼻端,鼻子正下方人中或它的附近部位上的任何一處。都可作為專註入、出息所依靠的接觸點。ujuj kāyaṁ paṇidhāya,parimukhaṁ satiṁ upaṭṭhapetvā.(使身正直,起正念於鼻端。《中阿含經》作:正身正願,反念不向)。《分別論》Vibh.p.294﹐#537.“Parimukhaṁ satiṁ upaṭṭhapetvā”ti tattha katamā sati? Yā 1sati 2anussati 3paṭissati[sati 4saraṇatā 5dhāraṇatā 6apilāpanatā 7asammusanatā sati 8satindriyaṁ 9satibalaṁ] 10sammāsati--ayaṁ vuccati “sati”.Ayaṁ sati upaṭṭhitā hoti supaṭṭhitā nāsikagge vā mukhanimitte vā.…”(「使存念於口上(parimukha﹐pari上+ mukha口)」者,此中,什麼是「念」(sati),凡是1念(處在記住)、2隨念(一而再地記住)、3回想(當面記住,離去後,再回想)、4記住(免得再記)、5憶持性(聽聞與誦習的憶持)、6不漂浮性(溶入所緣)、7不忘性(久做久說都不忘。不失憶性(asammusanatā= naṭṭha-muṭṭhassatitā))、8念根(使作統治的根)、9念力(沒有懶惰的搖擺)、10正念(正確的念、有利可圖的念、善念),這被稱作「念」,此「念」存續、善存續在鼻端(nāsika-agge)或在口相(mukhanimitte) ,以念住於鼻端被稱為「念」的存續之後。)()。DA.2./I,210-1.︰Parimukhaṁ satiṁ upaṭṭhapetvāti kammaṭṭhānābhimukhaṁ satiṁ ṭhapayitvā. Mukhasamīpevā katvāti attho. Teneva Vibhaṅge vuttaṁ-- “ayaṁ sati upaṭṭhitā hoti sūpaṭṭhitā nāsikagge vā mukhanimitte vā,tena vuccati parimukhaṁ satiṁ upaṭṭhapetvā”ti (vibha.537). Athavā parīti pariggahaṭṭho. Mukhanti niyyānaṭṭho. Satīti upaṭṭhānaṭṭho.(「念」存續於遍口(鼻端)之後︰使念被放置於業處的前面,放置接近於口之意。或然,遍︰掌握之意。口︰釋放之意。念︰存續之意。《分別論》說︰此「念」存續、善存續在鼻端(nāsika-agge)或在口相(mukhanimitte)),以念住於鼻端被稱為「念」的存續之後。) 《沙門果經》新疏(Dṭ2./pg.2.124)︰Nāsikaggeti nāsapuṭagge.Mukhanimittaṁ nāma uttaroṭṭhassa vemajjhappadeso,yattha nāsikavāto paṭihaññati.:(鼻端︰鼻腔出口。口相︰是上唇的中部,空氣出入鼻孔時磨擦之處。) ‘parimukha’ 在此譯作:「人中(鼻下溝中,正中上方1/3處)附近」,或「(鼻下)口上」較寫實;譯:面前、全面、in front、before、facing皆不夠精確。「面前」或「前面」,也可用pamukha(pa(梵pra-)先,前),或sammukha前面,或paṭimukha對面。
